Role overview

This position sits within PwC India’s Advisory line of service, under the Managed Services specialism at Manager level. The role is part of the Process and Performance Management practice in Finance Consulting, where the team works with CEOs, CFOs, controllers and treasurers to strengthen finance functions, raise control standards, and create better support for business decision-making.

Practice scope

The practice includes work across enterprise performance management, planning and budgeting, costing, reporting, revenue improvement, strategic cost management, asset productivity, post-merger integration, finance operating model design, shared services advisory, outsourcing advisory, SSC build-operate-transfer, process optimisation, internal controls, statutory compliance, IFRS, finance talent and leadership assessment, technical training, and digital enablement through cloud, intelligent automation, AI/ML, analytics, systems and data management.

Key responsibilities

The role involves hands-on delivery of client projects as either a project manager or contributor. Typical work includes planning, shaping solutions, executing engagements, producing reports, managing stakeholders, handling issues and risks, and tracking project financial performance.

You will also be expected to support business development through client pursuits and go-to-market initiatives, contribute to the creation of new approaches and methods, and help develop thought leadership such as white papers and similar content.

Where people management responsibilities apply, the role includes coaching and mentoring team members.

Experience and qualifications

PwC is looking for professionals with deep experience in finance transformation and/or shared services and outsourcing strategy, design, and implementation. A background in Big 4 firms, consulting organisations, leading IT/BPM services companies, or large corporates will be viewed favourably.

The expected qualification is an MBA and/or CA. The role requires at least 8 years of experience, while the broader hiring note mentions professionals with 4 to 15 years of relevant experience for comparable levels.
