Role overview
Temu is hiring a seasoned Business Development Manager to help accelerate growth in the United States. This position is suited to someone who is highly driven, commercially minded, and comfortable working with cross-functional teams in a fast-moving environment.
What you will do
- Identify, build, and grow local partnerships with merchandise partners, manufacturers, and brands.
- Evaluate category opportunities and make selection recommendations that improve value while matching business priorities and customer demand.
- Support merchandise partners as they establish and expand their presence on the platform.
- Help partners shape end-to-end growth plans, including positioning, product strategy, brand promotion, and operating approach.
- Bring forward new ideas based on category performance and market conditions, then turn them into practical initiatives through partner support and resource coordination.
- Prepare industry analysis, use data to uncover customer needs, and refine strategy based on market movements and business insights.
Experience and skills needed
- At least 5 years of operations-related experience, including exposure to brand management or platform operations.
- Strong network and established relationships with local sellers and vendors are considered an advantage.
- Solid analytical ability, with experience interpreting industry trends, managing projects through data, and drawing clear conclusions.
- Capability to identify market opportunities and contribute to innovative marketing approaches for merchants.
- Strong problem-solving mindset, self-driven attitude, strategic thinking, and the ability to adapt quickly.
- Comfort working under pressure and handling logistics during periods of high demand.
Compensation and benefits
The role offers a salary range of USD 80,000 to USD 200,000 per year, with the final package influenced by skills, experience, qualifications, competencies, location, and other job-related factors.
