Role Overview

The position of Senior Business Banking Manager focuses on expanding and managing a sophisticated portfolio of business loans, employing strategic sales planning, credit risk oversight, and cultivating durable client relationships. This role demands in-depth knowledge of clients' industries and businesses to provide customized banking solutions and superior service. Additionally, the manager will aid the Head of Business Banking in guiding and motivating the team to meet set revenue and strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively maintain and expand a diverse member portfolio, covering business and property lending transactions.
  • Deliver outstanding service by building trusted, long-standing client partnerships and offering tailored financial solutions.
  • Compile complex loan proposals balancing growth potential with risk, ensuring adherence to internal policies and external regulatory requirements.
  • Establish and nurture networks with internal teams and external partners to enhance new business generation.
  • Drive individual and team sales goals through consistent tracking and coaching.
  • Conduct regular performance review sessions using dashboards to enhance team effectiveness.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Preferred: Degree in Business, Finance or related field and/or postgraduate professional certification.
  • At least 5 to 7 years of experience in business banking and/or credit analysis.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities with proven effectiveness in guiding teams.
  • Strong financial expertise coupled with demonstrated success in business development.
  • Expertise in sales leadership, lending processes, financial evaluation, credit risk management, and client service.
  • Ability to develop and sustain relationships with diverse stakeholders.

Recruitment Process
