Role overview

NTT DATA is hiring a Senior Business Analyst to join its Financial Services Advisory Practice. This role supports a broad mix of projects and programmes, with a strong focus on digital transformation and strategic change for banking clients. The position is centred on shaping, planning, delivering, monitoring, and closing initiatives that improve processes, customer experience, and business outcomes.

What you will do

  • Work with business users to clarify the problem, define the engagement boundaries, and align on scope.
  • Speak with product owners to understand current-state processes and design improved future-state workflows focused on the customer.
  • Document process maps and identify practical opportunities to streamline and enhance operations.
  • Use tools such as personas and customer journeys to map the customer experience.
  • Collect and interpret statistical information from business areas to strengthen the case for change.
  • Study leading industry practices to help shape digitalisation and simplify customer journeys.
  • Support the creation of digital strategies that improve customer retention and loyalty.
  • Contribute industry insight and thought leadership on emerging trends, future operating models, and best-in-class journeys.
  • Build a strong understanding of the business environment and market context in which stakeholders operate.
  • Apply process modelling methods to capture requirements and work closely with Product Owners and Development teams to deliver process improvements.
  • Partner with multiple Product Owners to produce clear epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria that are not tied to a specific implementation.
  • Help promote a metrics-led culture within the team.

Experience and qualifications

  • At least 10 years of Business Analyst experience within Financial Services.
  • Strong background in design thinking and in managing multiple stakeholder expectations.
  • Ability to communicate clearly, facilitate requirements workshops, and drive decisions.
  • Experience creating business cases, modelling business processes, and eliciting requirements through workshops.
  • Track record of managing projects from initial concept through design and delivery.
  • Solid technology grounding and an IT background.
  • Experience working in both Agile and waterfall SDLC environments.
  • Strong collaboration, communication, group dynamics, and continuous improvement mindset.
  • Degree in a related discipline with a 2.1 or higher; a Master's degree is an advantage.
