Role Overview
Cloetta is expanding its presence in the United States and is hiring a Senior Brand Manager to help build a strong local marketing platform for long-term growth. The role is based in the U.S., with New York City or the New York Tri-State Area preferred. It is a remote position that includes domestic travel. You will report to the Group Brand Manager in Sweden and work closely with teams in the U.S. and across global markets.
The business is looking to strengthen the local approach for introducing and growing Swedish brands in the U.S. in a way that fits local consumer preferences, culture, and commercial goals. This role is central to shaping and executing that strategy.
What You Will Do
As the Senior Brand Manager for the U.S. market, you will lead brand strategy and activation to build consumer connection, improve brand performance, and support sustainable business growth.
- Create and roll out U.S. brand plans that follow global strategy while being tailored to local market needs.
- Use consumer, customer, and market insights to guide strategic decisions.
- Lead initiatives that grow awareness, consideration, and long-term brand equity.
- Adapt global creative and brand assets so they work effectively in the U.S. market.
- Track campaign results and brand health, then refine plans based on what the data shows.
- Develop and manage integrated marketing campaigns across multiple channels.
- Maintain clear and consistent brand positioning and messaging in the U.S.
- Find, onboard, and manage creative, PR, and media agency partners.
- Oversee the quality and delivery of campaign execution and marketing materials.
- Turn market insights into practical recommendations that support wider business decisions.
- Optimize marketing investments, activation plans, and overall campaign efficiency.
Who You Will Work With
You will collaborate closely with the Group Brand Manager in Sweden, who provides strategic direction and portfolio oversight. In addition, you will partner with the U.S. commercial team, including Trade & Shopper Marketing, as well as media and agency partners. Regular coordination with the U.S. Country Manager and global stakeholders will also be important to keep strategy and execution aligned.
What Success Looks Like
The ideal candidate is a strategic yet hands-on brand marketer who enjoys building brands in evolving markets. You should be comfortable working across time zones, cultures, and functions, and be motivated by measurable impact.
Experience and Background
- 7 to 8 years of progressive marketing experience, with a strong emphasis on brand building in the U.S.
- Background in consumer packaged goods, ideally in confectionery or in related categories such as snacks or beverages.
- Demonstrated success in launching, adapting, and scaling international brands in the U.S. market.
- Strong understanding of U.S. consumers, retail environments, and competitive conditions.
- Experience working across functions with global teams, agencies, and commercial stakeholders.
Leadership Profile
- Strategic thinker who can also drive execution and turn plans into outcomes.
- Commercially focused with a clear orientation toward growth and business results.
- Works well in cross-functional and multicultural settings.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and dependable.
- Thrives in a fast-moving, changing growth environment.
Compensation and Benefits
The salary range for this position is $130,000 to $160,000, depending on factors such as location, experience, and education. This role is eligible for a performance bonus.
- Health, dental, and vision coverage.
- 401(k) plan with company match.
- Generous paid time off.
- Performance bonus opportunity.
- Flexible working hours and a strong focus on work-life balance.
Work Environment
- Cloetta describes its culture as international yet personal, where individual contributions are visible and valued.
- You will have access to a global network of colleagues to exchange knowledge, learn from, and collaborate with.
- The company is growth-oriented and aims to create new and effective ways to succeed in the market.
- You will be given the freedom to own your responsibilities, contribute ideas, and make a meaningful impact on the business.
