Job description

About the Studio

YourStudio is a strategy-led creative agency focused on forward-looking experiences and environments for international brands. With teams in London, Melbourne, New York and Los Angeles, the studio operates as one connected global group to create retail experiences that earn recognition worldwide.

Role Overview

The Senior Brand Designer turns audience insight into compelling visual narratives, translating knowledge of rapidly evolving consumer behaviour into polished, original design work. In this senior creative role, you will lead projects with strong craft, fresh thinking and creative assurance while also helping influence the overall quality and design culture of the studio.

As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will develop big ideas and shape them into memorable, emotionally engaging retail experiences that build human connection, attract audiences and contribute to culture. Success in this position helps expand creative ambition, strengthens client confidence and supports a stronger stream of high-quality work aligned with the studio’s reputation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and deliver premium brand design across several live projects at once, handling work from brief interpretation through to final handover, including coordination with suppliers and partners.
  • Use insight to create immersive visual solutions that are strategic, purposeful and aligned with the brand while still pushing creative boundaries.
  • Maintain a consistently excellent standard of presentation and craft across all deliverables.
  • Represent the creative perspective confidently in client meetings, workshops and pitches, bringing clarity, energy and conviction.
  • Develop trusted client relationships by understanding their audience, market position and competition, and spotting opportunities to elevate the creative work.
  • Support scoping, resourcing and scheduling by identifying risks early and helping keep projects on time and within budget.
  • Assist the Design Director by briefing, guiding and giving feedback to junior, mid-level and freelance designers.
  • Work closely with colleagues across disciplines to support shared ownership, disciplined creative practice and continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to new business through strong output and positive client relationships.
  • Provide calm, confident creative leadership that helps others grow and contribute effectively.

Skills and Experience

  • Advanced proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop, plus Figma; After Effects is a bonus.
  • Strong portfolio showing successful delivery across branding, graphic, digital and experiential design.
  • Excellent concept development and storytelling skills, with a strong understanding of typography, visual communication and design systems.
  • Ability to explain design decisions clearly and persuasively to both internal teams and clients.
  • Awareness of new technologies and changing trends in brand and experience design.
  • Experience coaching or directing other designers with confidence and clarity.
  • Practical problem-solving ability that balances creative ambition with real project constraints.
  • Collaborative working style with the ability to build trust across teams and with clients.
  • Cultural curiosity, a future-focused mindset and interest in innovation and relevance.
  • Interest in sustainability within design practice is considered a strong plus.

Compensation and Benefits

A competitive salary is available on request. The benefits package includes the following:

  • A hybrid working arrangement, with three studio days each week.
  • 25 days of holiday, plus bank holidays, your birthday off, a wellness day and an extra service allowance.
  • One paid day each year for personal community service, pro-rated for fixed-term contracts.
  • A two-week opportunity to work and travel abroad.
  • Family-friendly policies through membership of Careers After Babies, including enhanced parental leave.
  • A social and culture calendar featuring a summer party, Christmas party and monthly social events.
