Job description
Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Senior BMS Engineer to lead the design, deployment, and commissioning of Building Management System solutions. The candidate will apply extensive technical knowledge in building automation to develop advanced, energy-efficient systems, particularly focusing on data center projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect scalable BMS designs that meet client specifications, including detailed input/output point lists, network diagrams, and selection of appropriate controllers.
- Create and implement sophisticated control strategies for HVAC, energy management, and integrate third-party systems seamlessly.
- Program, configure, and commission Delta Controls BMS hardware and software for optimal operation aligned with design standards.
- Oversee site inspections, installation supervision, system testing, and validation processes.
- Execute integration of BMS with other building systems using protocols such as BACnet and Modbus.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues during both installation and ongoing operation phases.
- Produce comprehensive technical documentation including control narratives, wiring schematics, and commissioning summaries.
- Maintain updated records of system setups and changes.
- Collaborate closely with clients and project stakeholders to ensure technical requirements are met.
- Provide training and support for facility operators and maintenance personnel.
- Mentor junior engineers and technicians through guidance, code reviews, and technical education.
- Coordinate with project managers and interdisciplinary teams to ensure successful project delivery.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.
- A minimum of five years’ experience working with building automation and control systems.
- In-depth understanding of HVAC systems, energy management, and building automation communication protocols.
- Demonstrated expertise in commissioning, troubleshooting, and optimizing BMS in critical facility environments.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Visio, and standard BMS documentation practices.
- Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Effective communication capabilities and a collaborative, proactive attitude.
- Fluent English language proficiency.
- Certifications related to BMS, HVAC, or energy systems will be advantageous.
