Role Overview

The Senior Barista position is full-time and based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, requiring on-site attendance. This role involves expertly preparing espresso-based drinks, brewed coffees, and other beverages according to precise recipes, while ensuring high-quality presentation standards. Responsibilities include managing daily coffee bar setup and cleanliness, coordinating food preparation, monitoring inventory levels, and maintaining an organized work environment. The Senior Barista also mentors junior staff, exemplifies exceptional customer service, oversees busy service periods, interacts professionally with guests, processes cash and POS sales accurately, and contributes ideas to enhance the menu and seasonal selections.

Qualifications

• Proficient barista capabilities, encompassing espresso extraction, milk texturing, and beverage crafting.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills to foster a warm, attentive, and respectful atmosphere for guests.
• Clear, professional communication skills for guest interaction and team coordination.
• Food handling abilities focused on hygiene, safety compliance, and aesthetic presentation.
• Prior experience in a café or hospitality setting, preferably in a senior or supervisory barista role.
• Capability to work physically demanding shifts onsite in Dubai, including standing for long periods and managing peak service times.
• Basic knowledge of POS systems and cash handling, with a focus on reliability and accuracy.
• Understanding of food safety standards and café cleanliness protocols.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts that may include weekends and public holidays.
