Role Summary

The selected candidate will be accountable for accurate and prompt reconciliation of Nostro accounts across QNB Group, including oversight of international branches and subsidiaries. The role requires ensuring that all pending or unreconciled items are escalated to the relevant teams and resolved quickly after proper investigation. The position also involves preparing and reviewing daily balance reports for Treasury Operations and the Dealing Room, while identifying and reporting any suspicious, doubtful, or fictitious transactions according to established procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out daily reconciliation for assigned Nostro and QATCH accounts to identify exceptions quickly and help prevent financial losses.
  • Apply performance standards, KPIs, and established practices for reconciliation and account investigation activities.
  • Work strictly within the authority delegated to the role.
  • Encourage efficiency, cost awareness, and prudent use of resources to reduce waste and improve bank productivity.
  • Support internal and external stakeholders across local and international departments by providing reports that highlight operational and control improvements.
  • Respond to customer queries related to banking products and help guide requests toward suitable solutions.
  • Maintain service delivery in line with SLAs agreed with internal departments to improve turnaround times.
  • Develop and sustain strong working relationships with related units to support group objectives.
  • Provide accurate and timely information to auditors, compliance teams, financial control, and risk teams when needed.
  • Ensure appropriate policies and procedures are in place to define control scope and reporting expectations.
  • Perform central reconciliations on time in accordance with procedures so that errors, omissions, duplicates, and unexplained items are identified, corrected, and prevented from recurring.
  • Check and validate the operational and functional integrity of Nostro reconciliation and proof reports.
  • Prepare and distribute reports based on agreed KPIs and KRIs, and discuss findings with the relevant QNB teams.
  • Recommend process changes or alternative solutions in coordination with the Senior Manager, Reconciliation & Account Investigation.
  • Prepare reconciliation-related financial vouchers according to the prescribed process.
  • Provide support to international branches and subsidiaries.

Education and Documentation

A university bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in Marketing, Banking, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or Information Technology, or another closely related discipline.
