This Lab provides clients with interactive demonstrations, showcases, and co-creation workshops that highlight upcoming technological trends.

Role Overview and Responsibilities

As a Senior Associate AI and Robotics Engineer, you will be an integral part of a multidisciplinary innovation team focused on converting emerging technologies into functional prototypes and client-facing experiences. Your key duties will include:

  • Designing and integrating AI-enhanced robotic systems and automations.
  • Rapid prototype development leveraging robotics, AI, computer vision, embedded systems, and edge computing technologies.
  • Translating complex and unclear problems into clear, actionable technical designs and implementation paths.
  • Researching and assessing new robotics platforms, sensors, AI models, and related technologies.
  • Developing software modules for robotic perception, control, navigation, and human-machine interfaces.
  • Implementing computer vision and multimodal AI functionalities using state-of-the-art methods.
  • Collaborating effectively with engineers, designers, researchers, and business teams.
  • Testing and optimizing the performance of robotic and AI solutions.
  • Guiding technical discussions and mentoring junior team members and interns.
  • Preparing detailed documentation of system architectures and engineering processes.
  • Supporting client engagements through workshops, demonstrations, and lab tours.

  • Designing and delivering client demonstrations and innovation showcases.
  • Participating in research and thought leadership in emerging technologies.
  • Identifying opportunities for innovative applications of AI and robotics to create new business value.

Candidate Profile and Skills

Applicants should have 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in Robotics Engineering, AI, Mechatronics, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or closely related fields. A bachelor’s degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or equivalent is required.

The ideal candidate demonstrates strong analytical abilities, a passion for innovation, and a drive for continual learning. Technical expertise should include proficiency in Python, robotics frameworks like ROS/ROS2, and experience with robotic hardware components such as sensors, LiDAR, and embedded systems. Knowledge in motion planning, control systems, autonomous navigation, and AI/ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, and modern LLM APIs) is essential. Experience in computer vision (e.g., OpenCV), edge computing, and Linux development is important, while familiarity with CAD, digital fabrication, version control (Git), Docker, cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP), and simulation environments is advantageous.

Strong interpersonal skills, excellent communication abilities in both English and Arabic, and the aptitude to work in agile environments are critical. The role involves travel flexibility up to 20%, including overnight stays and work away from the base location.
