Senior Applied Scientist

Role overview

Inception is looking for an experienced Senior Applied Scientist who can build efficient deep learning and generative AI solutions and shape novel AI-led models. This position offers the chance to partner closely with product development teams and apply emerging technologies across a wide range of business use cases.

In collaboration with Microsoft's AI SaaS, the company delivers domain-focused Agentic AI Orchestrator platforms powered by reasoning agents to provide accurate and cost-efficient services. Its work spans AI incubation, intellectual property creation, applied AI R&D, and AI investment products. The company also develops models tailored to specific domains and languages and works with leading universities and large industry players to advance AI capabilities in the region.

What you will do

In this role, you will contribute to research and development across several AI areas, including computer vision, natural language processing, and audio signal processing. You will help design and refine advanced AI algorithms and deep learning models that support semantic understanding, multi-dimensional data analysis, and better human-machine interaction. Your work will be applied to real-world problems in sectors such as finance, oil and gas, environmental science, and healthcare.

• Design, evaluate, and improve foundational and applied research that supports advanced AI algorithms and model performance.
• Track emerging AI trends, work with complex datasets, and develop model ideas that are both innovative and practical.
• Build solutions that combine multiple data types, including text, audio, and visual inputs, to improve interpretation of human interaction.
• Partner with researchers and engineers to develop AI systems that are efficient, dependable, and scalable.
• Work with product teams to embed new models and algorithms into broader offerings and run proofs of concept based on client requirements.
• Identify business scenarios where AI can improve customer operations and business efficiency.
• Support the business development team with technical input before and after sales discussions.

Success measures

Performance will be assessed through cost savings achieved, the number of use cases explored and datasets analyzed, the number of innovations and POCs deployed, the extent to which existing processes are improved, and customer NPS.

Required qualifications

• A master’s or doctoral degree in computer science, engineering, or a related AI field.
• Specialization in computer vision, natural language processing, or speech and audio is strongly preferred.
• At least 8 years of experience developing AI algorithms across different modalities.
• Demonstrated research strength, ideally through peer-reviewed publications or product-led R&D work.

• Solid awareness of recent developments in AI and machine learning.
• Excellent communication skills.
