About the Role
Chipotle is looking for a Senior Analyst, Consumer Insights to join its Marketing organization and help shape decisions that affect consumers, products, and campaigns. This role calls for someone who is naturally curious, collaborative, and inventive, with the ability to translate research into clear, business-driving insight. The position supports efforts that help the company stay aligned with both current consumer expectations and emerging trends, while contributing to growth.
Work Location
This is a hybrid position based in Newport Beach, California. The role requires four days each week in the office and one work-from-home day on Friday. Fully remote work is not offered for this position.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with partners across teams to clarify business problems and success measures, then recommend suitable research methods.
- Contribute to the full research cycle for both quantitative and qualitative studies across marketing areas such as menu innovation, brand strategy, communication, brand health tracking, campaign awareness tracking, and culture or trend research.
- Prepare survey instruments, oversee data gathering and analysis, and turn findings into discussion guides and polished written summaries.
- Help manage outside research vendors by creating RFPs, supporting onboarding, sharing feedback, and keeping deliverables on schedule and within scope.
- Gather and combine information from secondary and syndicated research to strengthen insights or answer quick-turn questions.
- Identify emerging knowledge gaps and timely topics worth exploring so the team stays ahead of culture and consumer shifts.
- Maintain organized consumer insights documentation, including internal records and invoices, and build a research library that is easy for stakeholders to use.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university is required.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in consumer insights, agency work, or marketing roles.
- Working knowledge of both qualitative and quantitative research methods, along with curiosity about newer approaches.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability, with a willingness to dig deeper for meaningful business insight.
- Ability to tell a compelling story from complex data and research methods in a way that informs, persuades, and inspires different audiences.
- Strong time management skills and the flexibility to balance several projects and changing priorities.
- Comfort working both independently and with cross-functional teams in a lean, fast-moving environment.
- Highly organized, detail-focused, and able to keep the big picture in view.
- Graphic design or video editing experience is a plus.
Compensation and Benefits
The estimated base salary range for this position is $99,000 to $138,000 per year. In addition to base pay, the role may be eligible for annual cash bonuses and equity awards based on performance and other factors. The company also provides a competitive total rewards package that includes medical, dental, and vision coverage, a 401(k) plan, sick leave, vacation time, and additional benefits.
