About the Role
Charles & Darwish Associates is seeking experienced professionals possessing CA Intermediate, ACCA, CMA, or CPA qualifications. Candidates should have 3 to 5 years of experience working in UAE-based accounting firms and should be well-versed in accounting, auditing, and tax audit processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain Chart of Accounts in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Tally, Zoho, and various ERP systems.
- Oversee and review data entry activities covering sales, purchases, petty cash, as well as receipts and payments.
- Conduct bank and credit card reconciliations ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Allocate incoming and outgoing payments to corresponding invoices for accurate record-keeping.
- Prepare monthly financial statements including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements in compliance with IFRS and ISA standards.
- Present monthly accounts through analysis tools including financial ratios and cost-benefit assessments.
- Adjust and restructure the Chart of Accounts per guidance from the Audit Manager.
- Perform General Ledger reconciliations and review financial compliance across all accounts.
- Assign and delegate work amongst team members, ensuring timely completion and coordination.
- Engage in client site visits as required.
Qualifications and Experience
- Possession of CA Intermediate/Final, ACCA, CMA, or CPA credentials.
- Mandatory UAE experience ranging between 3 and 5 years in an accounting firm environment.
