Job description

Position Summary

The Security Supervisor will oversee the day-to-day security operations at Radisson Beach Resort Palm Jumeirah, ensuring the protection of guests, employees, visitors, contractors, and hotel assets. This role supports the Security Manager in enforcing security policies, emergency protocols, loss prevention, and regulatory compliance with SIRA, Dubai Police, UAE Civil Defense, and Radisson Hotel Group standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise Security Officers during shifts.
  • Conduct frequent patrols covering guest areas, public spaces, the back-of-house, beach, and the hotel perimeter.
  • Monitor security systems including CCTV, access control, and fire alarms.
  • Ensure all security equipment functions properly and report malfunctions immediately.
  • Enforce adherence to hotel security policies and procedures.
  • Respond quickly and efficiently to security incidents, emergencies, and guest issues.
  • Assist with VIP movements, special events, and crowd management.
  • Coordinate with Dubai authorities such as Police, Civil Defense, and Ambulance Services as needed.
  • Support emergency drills, evacuations, and crisis management efforts.
  • Investigate accidents, thefts, disturbances, and security breaches thoroughly.
  • Compile detailed incident reports and maintain security documentation.
  • Implement necessary corrective and preventive actions after incidents.
  • Ensure compliance with SIRA licensing and regulations, verifying Security Officers' valid licenses.
  • Prepare for and assist with SIRA audits and inspections.
  • Monitor Security Officer attendance, grooming, discipline, and performance.
  • Conduct daily security briefings and shift handovers.
  • Provide on-the-job training and mentorship to security team members.
  • Maintain Health & Safety standards, including checking fire and life safety equipment and reporting hazards promptly.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Security Management, Hospitality, Criminal Justice, or related disciplines.
  • Mandatory possession of a valid SIRA Security Supervisor License.
  • First Aid, CPR, and Fire Safety certifications are preferred.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English; Arabic language skills are an advantage.

Experience

  • Between four to six years of security experience in 4-star or 5-star hotels or resorts.
  • A minimum of two years in a supervisory capacity.
  • Experience within luxury hotels or beach resort environments is beneficial.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of SIRA regulations, CCTV and access control systems, fire safety protocols, and emergency response management.
