Role Overview

The Security Officer plays a critical role in ensuring the safety of guests, staff, and hotel assets. The officer is tasked with monitoring premises, preventing security breaches, and responding to emergencies adhering to hotel policies and legal standards.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Regularly patrol the hotel area to secure the safety of people and property, identifying suspicious behavior or risks.
• React promptly and professionally to incidents including disturbances, theft, unauthorized entry, and emergencies, coordinating with management and relevant authorities.
• Control access to restricted zones, ensuring only authorized individuals enter.
• Execute emergency protocols during fire alarms, evacuations, medical crises, and natural disasters.
• Offer assistance and information to guests and colleagues during normal and urgent situations.
• Adhere strictly to security policies, safety regulations, and legal requirements.
• Maintain detailed incident logs and present comprehensive reports to management.
• Detect and report safety concerns or security risks for timely resolution.
• Assist in training new security staff and hotel employees on security and emergency procedures.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned to support hotel and department objectives.

Qualifications and Experience

• Prior experience as a security officer or in a related security role is preferable.
• Familiarity with security procedures, access control, and incident handling; experience with CCTV or security technology is a plus.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills for interacting with guests, management, and authorities.
• Capacity to remain watchful over long periods and respond swiftly to situations.
• Excellent attention to detail for recognizing abnormal behavior and potential hazards.
• Ability to stay composed and make sound decisions under pressure.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Physical fitness to conduct frequent patrols and stand or walk for extended times.
