Security Learning and Development Specialist

About the Role

Qatar Airways invites applications for a Security Learning and Development Specialist to join the HR Group Learning and Development team in Doha, Qatar. This position focuses on delivering and continuously improving security training programs across the Qatar Airways Group and approved external organizations within Doha and across the airline network.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver learner-centered training programs that meet international standards using adult learning principles and innovative techniques.
• Administer authorized assessments to gauge learner competence effectively.
• Stay updated with regulator requirements to ensure all security training complies with current standards.
• Enhance learning impact by applying the 70:20:10 learning model principles in program delivery.
• Develop security-related courses and training materials aligned with regulations and best practices, as guided by the line manager.
• Organize learning events such as conferences and communities of practice to facilitate staff networking, mentoring, and knowledge sharing.
• Establish strong stakeholder relationships within the organization to identify learning needs and recommend optimal security training solutions.
• Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned by the department head.

Qualifications and Experience

• Possess either a high school diploma/vocational qualification/diploma with at least 5 years of relevant work experience, or a bachelor's degree with a minimum of 4 years of job-related experience.
• Hold official aviation security trainer accreditation from ICAO, IATA, or a Civil Aviation Authority.
• Demonstrate practical experience in aviation security and security training.
• Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in using MS Office applications.
• Experience delivering training in multicultural environments.
• Strong instructional skills and expertise in aviation security topics.
