Job description

Role overview

Al-Qadsiah Club is building a sporting legacy that reaches beyond results on the pitch, with a focus on ambition, teamwork, innovation, and long-term impact. This role offers the chance to contribute to the club’s wider football vision and play a part in shaping future success.

As a Scout covering Europe, you will identify, assess, and track football talent to support both First Team and Academy recruitment. You will prepare detailed player evaluations, feed into recruitment planning, and ensure your work fits the club’s scouting approach and squad-building goals.

Key responsibilities

  • Work within the club’s scouting structure, player profiling standards, and lead scout guidance.
  • Watch players in live fixtures and through online/video coverage across assigned regions.
  • Research leagues, competitions, and individual players identified by the club.
  • Prepare clear, high-quality scouting reports using the club’s reporting templates to support recruitment decisions.
  • Gather background details and references on shortlisted players.
  • Share intelligence promptly and accurately so recruitment plans stay aligned.
  • Develop and maintain contacts across clubs, agents, and wider scouting circles.
  • Contribute market intelligence on target players and emerging talent.
  • Attend scouting meetings when needed and communicate player assessments to recruitment and technical staff.
  • Make sure scouting outputs support the club’s broader recruitment objectives.
  • Keep developing professionally through training and continuous learning.
  • Take on additional department duties as required.

Qualifications and experience

Desirable qualifications include a formal scouting certification such as PFSA, UEFA Talent ID, or an equivalent credential. Coaching qualifications such as a UEFA licence, or an equivalent award, are also desirable.

Essential experience includes work in scouting or recruitment within a professional football setting. You should understand scouting principles, player profiling, league structures, player markets, and talent pathways. The role also requires the ability to assess players in line with club methodology, experience in live and video scouting, strong analytical ability, and confidence producing structured, objective reports. Familiarity with recruitment strategy, squad planning, scouting software, and data tools is important. Strong communication skills, the ability to present insights clearly, independent working style with alignment to strategy, willingness to travel extensively including weekends and evenings, and a valid driver’s licence are required. Experience presenting to senior stakeholders is desirable.

Why join Al-Qadsiah?

Join a club aiming to reshape the future of Saudi sports and set new standards of excellence. You will work in a culture built around quality, accountability, diversity, synergy, innovation, ambition, and harmony — the club’s “Qadsiah Way.”
