School Nurse

About the Role

Dubai Schools Al Khawaneej is seeking a dedicated and experienced School Nurse to become an integral part of their vibrant educational community. This role is crucial in ensuring the health, safety, and overall well-being of both students and staff. The successful candidate will manage all health-related matters and maintain systems to comply with DHA/HAAD regulations.

Key Accountabilities

• Address student health concerns, including the administration of medications, vaccinations, and other necessary treatments.
• Monitor food in lunchboxes and the school canteen to promote a healthy living environment, and conduct healthy eating sessions for students.
• Contribute to school Health and Safety by coordinating with the Facilities Manager for routine inspections.
• Oversee all DHA/HAAD related matters, including compliance, obtaining approvals, and managing statistics.
• Ensure all First Aid Kits are adequately stocked and maintained.
• Conduct medical assessments for specific year groups.
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding health and safety matters.
• Administer vaccinations within the school premises, adhering to DHA/HAAD guidelines.
• Liaise with the Children’s Health department at DHA/HAAD.
• Provide comprehensive support, management, and care for students with specific health conditions, such as diabetes.
• Participate as a member of the Health and Safety Committee.
• Collaborate closely with the school administration on child protection initiatives.
• Record clinic visits in the designated proactive system.
