Job description

Role overview

Ravenfield Primary Academy is looking for a capable and committed School Meals Supervisory Assistant to join a skilled and enthusiastic staff team. In this role, you will oversee pupils during lunch time across the dining hall, playground and wider school site, helping to maintain a safe, calm and well-managed environment.

The post supports children’s health, safety and overall well-being, while also contributing to positive behaviour and orderly conduct in line with guidance from the designated senior leader. The academy is part of Maltby Learning Trust and prides itself on delivering high-quality learning experiences that help young people succeed in life.

Candidates are encouraged to arrange a visit to the academy to meet the Principal and key middle and senior leaders and learn more about the role.

What the academy is looking for

The ideal applicant will be aligned with Maltby Learning Trust’s vision, values and academy priorities. You should bring a proactive attitude, a strong commitment to self-improvement, a growth mindset and a sense of humour. Experience and understanding of the setting in which Ravenfield Primary Academy works will also be important.

What is offered

Successful candidates will receive a supportive induction and the chance to be mentored by an experienced team. The role also offers the opportunity to collaborate across a Multi-Academy Trust. Employee benefits may include 24/7 access to a GP service by telephone or video, a cash healthcare plan and Staff Rewards Gateway, although some benefits may depend on completing a successful six-month probation period.

Safeguarding and checks

Maltby Learning Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. Because this position involves contact with children, the successful applicant will need an enhanced criminal record disclosure check.
