Job description
Role overview
An LPG bottling plant in Ras Laffan, Qatar is looking for an experienced Scaffolding Supervisor to manage scaffold operations in an active industrial setting. The role focuses on safe execution, planning, and coordination of scaffolding work for a live plant environment.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee the scaffolding team during erection, alteration, and dismantling of complex scaffold structures while maintaining strict safety standards.
- Review scaffold drawings and engineering sketches, assess load limits, and determine the quantity of materials needed for the job.
- Liaise with the HSE department and secure the required PTW approvals before any work begins.
- Run daily toolbox talks and make sure all workers are correctly using PPE and fall-arrest equipment.
Qualifications and experience
- At least 10 years of total scaffolding experience, including a minimum of 5 years in a supervisory capacity on oil & gas or heavy industrial projects.
- A valid CISRS Scaffolding Supervisor Certificate, or an equivalent internationally recognized qualification, is required.
- Prior experience on RLIC (Ras Laffan) or Qatar Energy approved projects is expected.
- PTW certification or training is an added advantage.
- Strong leadership, communication, and multicultural team management skills are necessary.
