Job description
Overview
A major construction project in Ras Laffan, Qatar is seeking an experienced HSE Officer to support site safety, environmental compliance, and day-to-day risk control across project operations.
Qualification and Experience
- A bachelor’s degree or diploma in Engineering, Environmental Science, or Occupational Health & Safety is required.
- Professional HSE credentials such as NEBOSH IGC or IOSH are mandatory.
- The role calls for solid understanding of HSE regulations, policies, and procedures within the Oil & Gas industry.
- Applicants should be familiar with risk assessments, incident investigations, and safety audits.
- Clear communication and reporting abilities are important.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in the Oil & Gas sector is required.
Responsibilities
- Apply and oversee Health, Safety, and Environmental procedures across the site.
- Lead toolbox talks, safety inductions, and other awareness/training activities.
- Carry out risk assessments, job safety analyses, and regular inspections.
- Confirm that site operations follow company and client safety requirements.
- Examine incidents and accidents, then document findings in detailed reports.
- Observe ongoing work to ensure safe methods and practices are being followed.
- Work with project teams to address and close out safety issues.
- Keep HSE files, logs, and supporting records updated and organized.
