About the Role

Skilzon is seeking a proactive and results-oriented Business Development Officer to spearhead growth by forging strategic partnerships, generating new business leads, and expanding its client base. Candidates should possess a background in business development or sales, exemplary relationship management abilities, and a strong focus on achieving revenue objectives.

Eligibility

  • Bachelor's degree is mandatory.
  • At least 2 years of experience in business development, sales, or marketing.
  • Preferred experience in EdTech, IT training, technology services, software, or corporate sales.
  • Knowledge of B2B and B2C sales is an additional advantage.
  • Immediate availability to join is strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and cultivate new business through corporate visits, networking, referrals, field sales, and digital outreach.
  • Establish and uphold partnerships with educational institutions, corporates, and training collaborators.
  • Promote Skilzon’s IT training, corporate training solutions, internships, and certification courses.
  • Conduct meetings, presentations, and product demonstrations for clients.
  • Generate, qualify, and nurture leads via online and offline channels.
  • Maintain long-term client and partner relationships.
  • Draft proposals, negotiate contracts, and finalize business deals.
  • Meet monthly business development and revenue goals.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, marketing, academic, and operations teams to ensure project success.
  • Keep accurate sales pipeline, CRM records, and business reports updated.
  • Track market trends, competitor activity, and discover new growth avenues.

Required Skills

  • Fluent communication and presentation skills in English and Malayalam.
  • Strong negotiation, networking, and relationship-building skills.
  • Self-driven and capable of working in target-oriented settings.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and CRM software.
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Willingness to travel for client engagements and business development activities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven history of meeting or exceeding sales and revenue targets.
  • Experience managing corporate clients and forming strategic alliances.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools such as LeadSquared or Zoho CRM is a bonus.
