About Soracom

Soracom, established in 2015 by former AWS professionals, is on a mission to create a more connected future. The company supports more than 20,000 customers and powers connectivity for millions of IoT devices around the world using cloud-scale infrastructure. With distributed teams in Japan, the United States, and Europe, Soracom continues to grow its international presence.

Soracom is committed to equal opportunity and values the varied perspectives, experience, and expertise that come from a diverse workforce. The company believes its people are central to building innovative technology that helps customers shape a better world.

About the Role

The Sales Operations Manager will act as the operational center for Soracom’s US and Europe/UK sales teams. This role focuses on building the systems, data foundations, and processes that help both regional teams scale effectively in a fast-changing IoT market. A strong continuous-improvement mindset is essential, with an emphasis on measuring, refining, and improving each part of the sales workflow. The position sits within the Operations function, reports to the Head of Operations, and partners closely with sales leadership across both regions.

Key Responsibilities

The role covers Salesforce administration, reporting, process improvement, and cross-regional coordination. You will keep the CRM environment aligned with business needs, create clear reporting for leadership, and help standardize workflows while allowing for regional differences.

Process and Systems Management

  • Administer and continuously improve Salesforce for the US and EUK teams, including data accuracy, custom objects, lead and opportunity stages, multi-currency pipelines, territory setup, and user access management.
  • Ensure data structures are organized to support localized reporting and any regional compliance needs.
  • Document and maintain the full sales process end to end, including lead routing, qualification rules, deal desk flow, and the handoff to Customer Success, with regional variations where appropriate.

Reporting and Analytics

  • Develop and maintain dashboards for pipeline, forecast, and KPI tracking in BI platforms such as Looker and Superset.
  • Provide leadership with a unified view of performance across US and EUK, including currency normalization and region-specific conversion benchmarks.

Continuous Improvement

  • Use a kaizen approach to identify friction points in the sales funnel across both regions.
  • Run structured improvement cycles, assess results, and feed the learnings back into process documentation and tools.
  • Balance global consistency with local market needs, adapting workflows to fit regional buyer behavior, market conditions, and regulatory requirements.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Coordinate asynchronously through Slack so the US and Europe-based teams stay aligned without depending on frequent live overlap.
  • Work closely with Sales leadership and Operations to convert strategy into practical execution.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should bring strong English communication skills, proven sales operations experience across multiple regions, and practical expertise in Salesforce, reporting tools, and continuous-improvement methods. You should also be comfortable working independently in a remote setup and collaborating across time zones.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Fluent English with strong written communication skills
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States
  • Experience supporting or managing sales operations in multiple regions, ideally the US and EMEA/UK at the same time
  • Background in applying kaizen or other continuous-improvement practices to sales or business processes
  • Hands-on Salesforce administration experience, including multi-currency and multi-territory configuration
  • Ability to build executive-level dashboards using BI tools such as Looker or Superset
  • Comfort with async collaboration in Slack across US and European time zones
  • Strong analytical ability with a track record of turning performance data into actionable recommendations
  • Self-directed, energetic, and positive approach to work
  • Remote-work readiness, including a dedicated quiet workspace at home
  • Ability to adapt and perform well in a growing, fast-paced environment
  • Interest in using emerging AI tools to improve productivity, quality, and creativity

Preferred Background

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience
  • Basic understanding of IT concepts such as servers, networking, and AWS services
  • Prior exposure to Slack in a professional setting
  • Previous work-from-home experience
  • Salesforce Administrator certification is an advantage
  • Spanish language ability is a plus

Who You Are

  • Curious, persistent, and open to coaching
  • Highly organized with strong time-management skills
  • Meticulous and detail-oriented
  • Professional, consistent, and empathetic in communication

Location

This is a fully remote position based in the United States, with a preference for candidates located in the Eastern or Central time zones.

Benefits

  • Remote work anywhere in the United States, provided you have reliable high-speed internet
  • Flexible working hours
  • Modern, up-to-date equipment supplied for the role
  • Opportunity to learn and grow quickly in a highly dynamic environment
