About the role
This position suits someone who takes ownership of results and focuses daily effort on meeting defined targets. As a Sales Officer, you will work to improve point-of-sale volume and product placement. You will also manage territories and customer accounts so that local execution aligns with broader business priorities and head office initiatives.
Key responsibilities
- Build and deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual sales volume plans while meeting target goals.
- Improve product distribution and ensure strong in-store visibility and execution.
- Maintain product quality across distributor and trade channels.
- Coach and supervise front-line sales representatives.
- Handle relationships with distributors, retailers, and wholesale customers.
- Develop strong working relationships with customer contacts in the field.
- Share activity plans with stores and support timely implementation.
- Take part in category management conversations and improvement initiatives with clients.
- Track store-level progress and communicate changes in activity performance.
- Carry out merchandising actions in line with plan.
- Report on field trade activity performance, sales agreements, retail price trends, and overall execution.
- Set, track, and review POS quality, customer quality, and other KPI goals.
Collaboration
You will work closely with the Field/Regional Manager, Category Management teams, and Merchandisers.
Candidate profile
The role is intended for a graduate with 2 to 5 years of experience in the FMCG, food, or beverage sector. Strong communication and interpersonal abilities are essential. You should have a proven history of meeting sales targets and be comfortable using business tools such as Excel and PowerPoint. Fluency in English and Malayalam is required.
