Role Overview
This position is based in Hamilton and covers the wider area including Cambridge and Te Awamutu. It is a permanent, full-time, on-site role focused on grocery and traditional liquor outlets across the Waikato region. The successful person will help ensure products are compliant, well stocked, visually strong, and easy for shoppers to find.
The job is active and varied, with a mix of store visits, display work, replenishment, and support for in-store promotions. It suits someone who enjoys being on the move and working directly with different store teams.
Key Duties
- Travel to grocery and traditional liquor stores between Huntly and Te Awamutu
- Assist store teams with promotions and sales activations
- Check that the correct products are placed on shelf and displayed properly
- Restock products and manage rotation where required
- Develop good working relationships with store owners, managers, WW leads, and other staff
- Keep product displays neat, clean, and appealing
- Support daily efforts to improve sales and product visibility
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will bring a positive, energetic approach and a real interest in sales and merchandising. A full, clean New Zealand driver licence is essential, and applicants should be based in or close to Hamilton if possible.
Previous experience in merchandising or a related retail role is preferred, with around 1 to 2 years of experience being ideal. The role also requires a willingness to learn, the ability to carry out light physical tasks such as lifting stock and setting up displays, and a proactive attitude toward customer-facing work.
