Mercedes-Benz South Dublin is seeking an experienced and proactive Sales Manager to lead its sales operations. Reporting to the General Manager, this role involves guiding a skilled team, boosting profitability, surpassing performance benchmarks, and ensuring outstanding customer service.

To excel in this senior management position, candidates must possess a proven history of achievements demonstrating natural leadership capabilities and substantial experience within the retail automotive sector.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Foster a high-performance, collaborative, and empowering leadership culture, effectively influencing and engaging stakeholders across all organizational levels.
  • Develop and maintain a strong sales team, emphasizing efficient operations and superior customer service.
  • Negotiate and finalize annual sales targets with distributors.
  • Achieve excellence in operational performance across all critical metrics, including sales, aftersales, people management, safety, quality, service, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Ensure strict adherence to group policies and procedures as mandated by the Head of Commercial Operations.
  • Maintain unwavering compliance with Mercedes-Benz brand standards and effectively manage the audit process.
  • Ensure compliance with Health and Safety Legislation and ISO accreditation standards.

  • Instill a sense of urgency within the dealership team to achieve sales, customer experience, and profitability goals.
  • Regularly review performance and progress using metrics and KPIs to ensure the dealership meets required outcomes.
  • Manage the financial and operational performance of the dealership.
  • Effectively manage, maintain, and deliver on multiple sales and aftersales objectives set by both Mercedes-Benz and MSL Motor Group.
  • Maintain market share within the local region and nationally.

Leadership

  • Organize regular meetings with the sales team to ensure their profitability and efficiency.
  • Deliver excellent day-to-day operational performance across all indicators: people, safety, quality, service, efficiency, and cost.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and establish short-term and long-term goals for the sales team.
  • Implement training and development plans for teams and individuals, ensuring compliance with Mercedes-Benz training requirements.

Delivering Customer Experience

  • Contribute to the ongoing development of Mercedes-Benz South Dublin as a center of excellence for the Mercedes-Benz brand.
  • Ensure Mercedes-Benz South Dublin provides an unparalleled luxury customer experience to all customers at every level.
  • Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and build strong relationships with existing and new clients.
  • Continuously communicate customer satisfaction performance, along with evolving brand and group requirements, to the Mercedes-Benz South Dublin team.
  • Identify changing customer needs or market trends and implement strategies to address them.
  • Represent the dealership in interactions with major clients and professional organizations.

Strategic

  • Take responsibility for the overall reputation of Mercedes-Benz South Dublin.
  • Maximize commercial opportunities for the business.
  • Ensure maximum efficiency and profitability for the company.
  • Identify and develop new opportunities for the dealership within its primary region.
