About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and goal-oriented Sales Manager to boost the sales of building material products. The position is based in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, and demands hands-on experience in field sales, dealer and distributor interaction, specifically within the building materials or construction sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and generate new business prospects through engagement with builders, contractors, architects, dealers, and distributors.
- Promote and sell a range of building material products including AAC Blocks, Wall Putty, Tile Adhesives, Waterproofing Products, Cement, and TMT Steel, among others.
- Build and sustain strong customer relationships through regular interactions.
- Execute frequent market visits to explore potential clients and opportunities.
- Meet or exceed set monthly and quarterly sales targets.
- Prepare pricing quotations, negotiate terms, and finalize sales agreements effectively.
- Follow up on payment collections, ensuring timeliness.
- Keep track of competitor activities and market evolutions.
- Provide daily sales reports and share customer feedback with the management.
Candidate Profile
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- In-depth knowledge of the construction and building materials market.
- Capability to establish and expand dealer and distributor networks.
- Self-driven with a strong focus on achieving targets.
- Basic proficiency in MS Office tools such as Excel and Word.
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively as part of job requirements.
Educational and Professional Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in any field is mandatory; an MBA in Marketing is preferred.
- Professional experience spanning 1 to 5 years within building material, construction, paints, cement, steel, hardware, tiles, sanitary ware, or related sectors.
- Possession of a valid two-wheeler driving license is required.
