Role Overview
The Sales Host is pivotal in expanding the gym's membership base by delivering outstanding customer service, driving sales, and aiding member retention. This role involves engaging every prospect and member with professionalism, promoting products and services aligned with fitness goals, and supporting the club's commercial objectives with enthusiasm.
Key Responsibilities
- Create memorable and welcoming experiences that convert potential clients into members.
- Promote membership sales, including renewals, upgrades, and ancillary purchases.
- Conduct customized gym tours addressing individual fitness aspirations.
- Employ strategic questioning, build rapport, and effectively manage objections to facilitate sales.
- Follow up on inquiries and leads to maximize membership conversions.
- Develop strong member relationships to boost retention and engagement.
- Support the achievement of sales and retention targets within the club.
- Maintain a friendly and professional environment for all members and visitors.
- Respond promptly and professionally to member questions and issues.
- Promote available club products, services, and fitness solutions actively.
- Assist with club initiatives, events, and member engagement opportunities.
- Represent Everlast Gyms brand with enthusiasm and professionalism.
- Support daily club operations, including acting as a key holder when necessary.
- Ensure cleanliness, presentation, and safety standards throughout the facility.
- Maintain gym floor and member-facing area standards; aid in gym resets and operational activities.
- Utilize membership and CRM tools efficiently for managing enquiries and member data.
- Collaborate with the wider club team to meet business goals.
- Participate in national campaigns, challenges, and initiatives.
- Contribute positively to club culture and take personal responsibility for performance and development.
Qualifications and Skills
- Genuine enthusiasm for fitness, sales, and superior customer service.
- Excellent communication abilities and skills in building relationships.
- A confident, positive, and outgoing demeanor.
- Strong goal-oriented mindset focused on achieving measurable results.
- Effective organizational and administrative capabilities.
- Ability to work well independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and Bank Holidays.
- Experience in sales, hospitality, retail, leisure, or customer service is advantageous.
- Familiarity with sales targets and performance expectations is preferred.
- Knowledge of membership sales or retention strategies is beneficial.
- Competency in using sales, booking, or membership management software is a plus.
