Job description
Role overview
Trimble is hiring a Sales Engineer for the Survey/Geospatial business across the APAC region. In this position, you will combine technical knowledge with commercial support to help distribution partners and customers adopt advanced geospatial solutions that connect the digital and physical worlds.
About the company
Trimble is an industrial technology business that develops solutions designed to improve productivity, quality, safety, and sustainability. Its offerings support professionals in construction, geospatial, government, transportation, and other sectors by linking real-world work with digital systems.
The Field Systems segment focuses on improving precision and efficiency in construction-related tasks through geospatial technology that helps teams gather accurate data and manage site conditions.
What the role involves
This is a high-impact regional role where you will serve as a technical enabler for Trimble across APAC. You will support channel partners so they can successfully position, demonstrate, and implement Trimble’s geospatial portfolio for customers in infrastructure, construction, and surveying markets.
Key responsibilities
- Train and equip authorised distribution partners across APAC so they can confidently present and deploy Trimble’s geospatial products.
- Help shape and deliver regional go-to-market plans by turning market insights into practical growth actions for the geospatial portfolio.
- Work directly with key customers to provide technical advice and support the rollout of advanced surveying and construction technologies.
- Support the shift toward Connect and Scale initiatives, including wider adoption of subscription-based software such as Trimble Business Center and Trimble Access.
- Act as a trusted technical advisor by monitoring competitor moves and market developments to inform sales direction and future product planning.
Required experience and capabilities
- Strong technical background in surveying such as cadastral, topographic, or construction surveying, or in engineering with a solid understanding of digital construction.
- Prior experience in sales enablement or technical training, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Clear communication skills and the ability to produce digital materials such as workflow guides and presentation content.
- Ability to adapt quickly, stay focused on results, and work in a role that involves extensive regional travel.
Preferred experience
- Hands-on familiarity with Trimble Business Center, Trimble Access, or Trimble Connect.
- Working knowledge of land development and infrastructure markets in the Asia-Pacific region.
- Exposure to terrestrial or mobile laser scanning and photogrammetry workflows.
Location and travel
This role is remote and based in Australia. Candidates in New Zealand may be considered for relocation support.
Travel will be significant: approximately 70% during the first year and around 50% after that.
Why this opportunity stands out
You will contribute to solutions that have a meaningful real-world impact, helping improve how people build, move, and grow. The environment is collaborative and purpose-driven, with a strong emphasis on ownership, initiative, and innovative thinking.
Culture and values
Trimble’s culture is built around Belong, Grow, and Innovate. The company aims to create an environment where people feel respected, can develop their careers, and are encouraged to shape the future through new ideas. Local teams are empowered to create strategies that reflect regional needs while staying aligned to global goals.
