Role Overview
The Sales Engineer will spearhead new client acquisition, manage existing customer relations, and drive sales growth by advocating and selling our comprehensive range of FFS pouch packing machinery. This position blends technical expertise with sales savvy and requires outstanding relationship management abilities.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Identify and cultivate new business opportunities within designated geographical territories and targeted industry sectors.
- Develop and sustain strong connections with clients, consultants, and channel partners to foster long-term business relationships.
- Lead comprehensive sales processes including product demonstrations, in-depth technical discussions, and tailored solution proposals aligned with customer needs.
- Deliver techno-commercial quotations, negotiate contract terms effectively, and successfully close sales agreements.
- Continuously monitor competitor strategies, pricing changes, and emerging trends to enhance sales tactics and market approach.
- Collaborate closely with the design, manufacturing, and service departments to ensure flawless delivery and customer support.
- Maintain accurate documentation of sales initiatives, pipeline status, and prepare regular performance reports for senior management.
Candidate Requirements
- A Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum of three years’ experience in capital equipment sales, with a preference for packaging, processing or industrial automation machinery.
- A solid grasp of mechanical systems and automation technologies.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and effectively communicate machine functionalities to customers.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with strong negotiation prowess.
- Confident in conducting presentations and managing client engagements.
- Self-motivated with the ability to independently meet or exceed sales targets.
- Willingness to undertake frequent travel within the assigned region.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platforms.
- Experience specifically in marketing and selling packaging or food industry machinery is essential.
