Role overview
Cendyn is hiring a Sales Director to win new business, with a strong focus on enterprise accounts. The ideal person is a self-driven hunter who consistently delivers quota, brings experience in SaaS selling within the hotel sector, and performs well in a fast-moving environment.
What you will do
This role owns new customer acquisition across Cendyn’s full portfolio of products and services. The Sales Director will build and run a territory sales strategy focused on enterprise growth, convert opportunities across hotels, management companies, ownership groups, and other accommodation providers, and represent Cendyn through virtual demos, face-to-face selling, trade shows, hotel conferences, and association events.
- Create and execute a territory plan for selling Cendyn’s cloud software and services within the assigned region.
- Build a healthy and varied pipeline of prospective customers.
- Study market information to identify opportunities.
- Target hotels, management companies, brands, and ownership groups.
- Perform cold outreach and generate leads.
- Respond quickly and professionally to inbound leads.
- Assess prospect business needs and shape appropriate solutions.
- Sell consultatively by asking the right questions, uncovering pain points, and handling objections.
- Map the buyer journey, decision makers, timelines, and stakeholders; familiarity with MEDDICC is beneficial.
- Maintain strong relationships with key contacts to support long-term partnerships.
- Prepare persuasive presentations and proposals.
- Spot opportunities for additional products and bundled offerings.
- Follow up promptly with internal colleagues and customers.
- Negotiate contracts and understand the legal implications involved.
- Consistently meet sales quota throughout the year.
- Represent the company at trade shows, events, and other official engagements.
- Keep all sales activity current in Salesforce or another CRM, following SOPs for accounts, leads, opportunities, contacts, and activities.
- Build strong working knowledge of Cendyn’s products, pricing, contracts, policies, and procedures.
- Work with Marketing to support territory-level marketing execution.
- Promote the Cendyn brand at events across the region.
- Support smooth customer onboarding by working with Project Management and Customer Success.
- Take part in structured sales and business training to improve performance.
- Stay current on industry trends, market opportunities, and competitors.
Working style and interaction
This position involves daily contact with customers, teammates, and several key internal departments. Interactions often take place with mid- to senior-level stakeholders both inside and outside the organization.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree, or equivalent business experience.
- Prior sales background in hotel, travel, or hospitality supplier environments.
- Proven success selling cloud software and SaaS solutions.
- Ability to work independently with strong self-motivation.
- A solid record of building, managing, and closing a sales pipeline.
- Strong ability in sales, analysis, practical thinking, organization, communication, and interpersonal relations.
- Working knowledge of hotel sales management.
- Comfort learning new technology, products, and processes quickly.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
- Capacity to innovate, solve problems, and apply effective sales methods.
- Willingness to travel as needed for regional and corporate objectives.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, plus the ability to learn other systems.
