Job description

Role overview

We are hiring a seasoned Sales Director to steer commercial growth across the Middle East, with a primary focus on Saudi Arabia and the GCC. The role centers on winning new business, strengthening client partnerships, and guiding a cross-functional bid and sales team to deliver high-quality outcomes on time and in line with client expectations.

What you will do

  • Create and execute a sales plan that supports revenue expansion and helps the business meet its targets across the region, especially in KSA.
  • Identify and pursue fresh business opportunities, approach prospective clients, and position the company’s offerings effectively to secure new accounts.
  • Partner with sales and account teams to manage the full selling cycle, from prospecting and lead qualification to presentations and contract discussions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers, ensure they remain satisfied, and uncover chances to increase account value through upselling and cross-selling.
  • Work with account management on account strategies, customer retention initiatives, and long-term partnership development.
  • Track key account performance indicators, monitor sales outcomes, and prepare regular updates for senior leadership.
  • Lead, inspire, and develop the sales organization to cultivate a results-driven culture that consistently surpasses goals.
  • Coach and train team members, providing regular guidance and support to help them grow professionally and achieve targets.
  • Coordinate with departments such as marketing and operations to keep commercial strategies aligned and improve execution.
  • Keep abreast of market shifts, sector developments, and competitor activity to spot opportunities and manage risks proactively.
  • Carry out market research to understand customer requirements, preferences, and buying patterns across GCC markets.
  • Use market intelligence to improve offerings, sharpen sales approach, and contribute to the development of new products or services.

Qualifications and experience

  • A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related discipline is required; an advanced degree is an advantage.
  • Previous success in a Sales Director, Senior Account Manager, or comparable leadership position within the GCC market.
  • Background in the BPO or IT sectors in Saudi Arabia is required.
  • Strong command of both English and Arabic, with excellent written and spoken communication abilities.
  • Solid understanding of Middle East market dynamics, including customer behavior, cultural context, and business practices.
  • Proven ability to bring in new business and repeatedly meet or exceed sales goals.
  • Experience in a global business environment and the ability to work effectively with international resources.
  • Strong leadership and people-management capabilities with the ability to motivate a varied sales team.
  • Analytical thinking and the ability to interpret data and turn it into actionable decisions.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills for working with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams.
  • Strong organizational ability, along with project planning and prioritization skills.
  • Willingness to travel across Middle Eastern countries and, at times, internationally.
  • Must already be based in Saudi Arabia or be prepared to relocate.
