About the Role
The Sales Director will lead the company’s growth efforts in Saudi Arabia. The position combines strategic planning, team building, and cross-functional coordination to deliver steady, market-fit expansion and reinforce premium brand positioning in the Kingdom’s automotive market.
Key Responsibilities
- Study the Saudi automotive landscape in depth, including regulations such as SASO and MCI requirements, customer behavior, and the competitive environment. Build medium- and long-term sales plans, localized marketing approaches, and pricing structures suited to regional demand, then oversee execution to deliver quarterly and annual targets.
- Build and expand a localized sales organization that fits the Saudi business context. Set clear performance indicators such as sales volume and client retention, provide ongoing training on new energy vehicle technology and premium service standards, and encourage a performance-focused culture centered on consistency and high-quality results.
- Work closely with internal teams including supply, after-sales, and procurement to ensure the right regional support is in place. Coordinate the full customer journey from order confirmation through post-delivery service so expectations for service quality in the Kingdom are met.
- Track political, economic, and legal changes in Saudi Arabia, including updates related to new energy vehicle policy and import rules. Anticipate risks such as supply chain interruptions or regulatory shifts, prepare contingency plans, and ensure compliance with local laws, ethics, and industry standards.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree or higher in Marketing, Business Administration, Automotive Engineering, or a closely related discipline; an MBA is preferred.
- Strong command of English; Arabic is a significant plus for working with local stakeholders.
- At least 10 years of progressive sales management experience in the automotive industry, including a minimum of 3 years in the Saudi market. A successful record of leading large teams to outperform sales goals in a competitive regional environment is essential.
- Proven leadership ability, including experience creating talent development initiatives and incentive structures for local teams. Experience managing multi-region sales operations in the Middle East is highly desirable.
- An established network of prominent clients in Saudi Arabia’s automotive sector, such as corporate fleets and high-net-worth individuals, along with the ability to turn strategy into measurable business growth such as higher market share and customer lifetime value.
- Strong understanding of premium brand positioning and cultural sensitivities in Saudi Arabia, with the ability to protect brand standards while adapting to local market preferences. The role requires professionalism, resilience, and comfort working in a demanding, fast-paced setting.
