Role Overview
The Sales Development Representative 2 (SDR-2) handles the early stages of the sales cycle. The position begins with a 10-week, hands-on training program that combines online learning, business role plays, and live sales scenarios.
Key Responsibilities
- Build prospect call sheets for target customers by using market research tools and internal candidate and consultant resources.
- Review, organize, and investigate incoming leads from the Recruiter Lead Program.
- Create customer profiles and outreach talk tracks using sales enablement tools such as Seismic and Gong.
- Carry out outreach to the assigned customer list and maintain weekly activity records.
- Work with the Director of Business Operations to use the Inward Lens tool to find former customers and create new meeting opportunities.
Growth Path
Strong performance in this role can lead to promotion into an Account Manager position, where responsibilities expand to customer relationship management, account growth, prospect meetings, proposal preparation, and coordination with delivery teams to match client needs with top IT talent.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree, military background, an associate degree with 3 years of full-time professional experience, or 4 years of full-time professional experience.
- At least 1 year of sales experience, or a degree in sales, or sales internship experience, or active participation in a collegiate sales club or organization.
- Strong motivation to build a career in B2B sales.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, especially for negotiation.
- A strong sense of urgency, polished presentation ability, and professional conduct.
- Ability to stay resilient, work through obstacles, and collaborate effectively with others.
- Eagerness and ability to learn quickly.
Compensation and Additional Details
The compensation package includes a salary of $60,000, a $5,000 geographic allowance, weekly commission, and performance-based bonuses paid quarterly and annually. After promotion to Account Manager, monthly car and cell phone allowances become available. This is a fully on-site role in Mississauga, Monday through Friday.
