About the Role
Luminance is hiring a Commercial Director to help lead its enterprise sales organization in San Francisco. The company is recognized as a leader in Legal-Grade™ AI for enterprise and has raised $75 million in Series C funding. This position offers the chance to guide a sales team working across a wide range of industries, including manufacturing, technology, retail, and pharmaceuticals.
In this role, you will manage an Account Executive team, strengthen commercial execution, and contribute to sales strategy that supports global growth. The position covers the full enterprise sales journey, from prospecting and qualification through proof-of-value, proposals, negotiations, and closing.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coach a team of Account Executives, creating a culture focused on performance, accountability, and teamwork.
- Support hiring and development efforts to help build a strong and scalable sales organization.
- Own enterprise revenue generation across the sales funnel, including lead creation, qualification, proof-of-value planning and rollout, negotiation, and deal closure.
- Work with global leadership to define and execute go-to-market plans that expand market share in the U.S. and support broader company goals.
- Collaborate with Product, Marketing, and Customer Success to support smooth implementation, customer adoption, and long-term retention.
- Track sales performance, maintain accurate forecasting, and report progress and insights to senior leadership.
- Consistently push to meet and exceed ambitious revenue targets.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of B2B sales experience, with a strong history of closing new enterprise business, ideally in SaaS, AI, or similar advanced technology sectors.
- At least 1 year of experience supervising or mentoring sales professionals, with the ambition to grow into a more senior leadership position.
- Proven ability to sell into complex organizations with long buying cycles and multiple decision-makers.
- Strong understanding of enterprise procurement processes and stakeholder management.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical products in a persuasive, business-focused way for executive audiences.
- Comfort with forecasting, pipeline oversight, territory planning, and improving sales processes.
- Self-driven and collaborative mindset suited to a fast-moving, high-growth environment.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, with GPA 3.5+ or an equivalent 2:1 classification.
