Role overview
An opportunity is open for an experienced sales professional to join a lively and fast-moving Hygiene team serving the Sunshine Coast and Brisbane region. The position suits someone who brings strong communication abilities, a genuine drive to succeed, and confidence working with customers in a territory-based sales role.
In this role, you will manage your own sales area and promote a range of hygiene services. The focus is on growing revenue, protecting existing business, and strengthening relationships with key decision-makers while working closely with operations to make sure service delivery meets customer expectations.
What you will do
- Look after an existing customer portfolio and identify opportunities to expand account value
- Develop new business and win additional accounts
- Carry out proactive sales activity, including cold calling and prospecting
- Visit customer sites and complete audits to check that service standards are being maintained
- Build and sustain strong working relationships with stakeholders across major accounts
- Create proposals tailored to customer needs, including suitable product, service, and pricing options
- Handle first-line customer and account issues, resolving what you can directly and escalating more complex matters when needed
- Record customer interactions and details accurately in company systems
- Track competitor movements and market trends, and share meaningful updates with management
- Work toward and exceed targets for sales, retention, and revenue
- Conduct regular business reviews with customers
What we are looking for
The right candidate will already have experience in a comparable external sales or account management position. You should be comfortable generating new business, have a strong customer focus, and be able to manage competing priorities in a busy field-based environment.
Success in this role also depends on solid negotiation skills, the ability to connect with people at all levels, and strong organisational habits. Clear written and verbal communication, attention to detail, and the ability to work across multiple tasks at once are also essential.
