Role Summary
We are seeking a proactive and highly organised Sales Assistant to support the team at Coconut Grove, Northern Territory. The position focuses on keeping sales operations running efficiently, assisting customers with professionalism, and helping the wider sales function deliver a consistently high standard of service.
Key Duties
- Receive, process, and track customer orders, questions, and complaints accurately and professionally.
- Share product and service details with customers, backed by a practical understanding of the company’s offerings and operating procedures.
- Assist the sales team by preparing quotations, proposals, and supporting sales documents.
- Handle customer communication across different channels, ensuring responses are timely, clear, and courteous.
- Keep customer records and sales information organised in CRM systems and other administrative tools.
- Review customer feedback and sales patterns to highlight improvement opportunities and share useful observations with the team.
- Work with internal teams to complete customer requests and resolve issues efficiently.
- Support day-to-day administration, including scheduling, filing, and data entry.
- Help build a positive, cooperative, and inclusive team culture by sharing knowledge and supporting colleagues.
- Track stock levels and pass inventory updates to the relevant teams when required.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate has prior experience in sales support, customer service, or administrative work and can manage several tasks at once without losing accuracy. Strong written and verbal communication, good organisation, and a careful eye for detail are essential. You should be comfortable using CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and standard business software, and have a solid grasp of order processing, sales workflows, and customer service practices. The role also suits someone who can think through problems, make sensible decisions, adapt to changing priorities, and stay composed in a busy environment. A trustworthy, team-oriented approach is important, and experience in automotive or a related product environment is preferred.
