Sage 500 Finance & Accounting Trainer

Role Overview

The primary focus for this position is supporting Sage 500 Finance and Accounting training and post-implementation assistance, initially emphasizing the Raleigh, NC US site with opportunities for remote work in India. The consultant will deliver comprehensive training and ongoing support for Sage 500 modules, addressing key accounting processes.

Core Responsibilities

• Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable tasks such as vendor invoice handling, customer billing, cash applications, check printing, payment processing, and bank reconciliations.
• Generate, post, and reconcile AP/AR reports.
• Record purchase order receipts at the Manassas location and Shared Service center.
• Utilize the GRNV tool for recording receipts and managing process workflows until closure, including explanation of procedures.
• Rectify posting errors and perform month-end closing activities related to accounts payable and receivable.
• Explain available report types and usage.
• Maintain general ledger including journal entries, account creation, reconciliations, and operating expense account management.
• Handle revenue accounting workflows and update pricing downloads.
• Conduct financial reporting, inquiries, and month/period-end closing processes.
• Support cost and manufacturing accounting by managing work order closures, transactional impacts, standard costing methodology, variance analysis, and inventory valuation.
• Ensure seamless interaction among inventory, manufacturing, and financial modules by managing inventory transactions, adjustments, reconciliation, and tracking.
• Navigate Sage 500 system functions including module usage, user workflows, reporting tools, troubleshooting, and basic system administration pertinent to finance users (e.g., period closing procedures).

Qualification Eligibility

Applicants must hold at least a graduate degree in any discipline.
