Safety Coordinator

Overview

We are seeking a diligent Safety Coordinator to uphold safety standards at PSA ports. The role focuses on ensuring compliance with workplace safety and health regulations, fostering a safe working environment, and promoting a proactive safety culture.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and enforce Workplace Safety and Health regulations along with company safety policies at PSA ports.
• Carry out routine safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify hazards and enforce corrective measures.
• Lead investigations into incidents, document outcomes, and suggest preventive strategies to reduce workplace risks.
• Assist in drafting and updating safety manuals, procedures, and relevant reports.
• Act as the primary contact for any safety-related questions or issues.
• Organize and facilitate safety briefings, toolbox meetings, and training programs to strengthen the safety culture.
• Ensure adherence to all applicable safety legislation including MOM regulations, the WSH Act, PSA safety rules, and the ISO 45001:2018 standard.
• Collaborate closely with drivers, ground personnel, and operational teams to improve safe work practices.
• Engage and coordinate with regulatory agencies, PSA bodies, and internal stakeholders on safety matters.
• Maintain comprehensive records of incidents, audits, and training activities.
• Lead initiatives that foster continuous improvement in workplace health and safety standards.

Job Requirements

• Holding a class 3 driving licence is preferred.
• Prior experience in a safety-related position, ideally within the logistics sector.
• Strong communication skills capable of connecting with and educating a diverse workforce.
• Proactive mindset with keen observation skills and quick responsiveness to safety concerns.
• Willingness to be based at PSA ports and operate in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
