Role overview
This is a full-time Route Sales Representative position with Frito Lay Canada, based in Mount Pearl, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada, with the role referencing Marystown, NFLD as the location area. The job focuses on growing and maintaining a snack-foods business across an assigned set of retail accounts such as grocery, gas, and convenience stores.
What the role involves
The position has two core responsibilities: building sales and developing the business, along with servicing customers through delivery and merchandising. You will support account growth, keep products visible and well stocked, and help ensure customer locations are properly maintained.
Key responsibilities
- Carry out in-store tasks such as arranging products on shelves, increasing shelf space and rack placement, processing carton returns, moving inventory, and cleaning shelves and racks.
- Monitor customer demand by regularly reviewing which products are selling best and adapting service accordingly.
- Grow assigned accounts by improving sales volume, market share, product distribution, shelf space allocation, and customer service outcomes.
- Promote and execute national and local sales initiatives, place additional marketing equipment and displays where appropriate, and sell inventory based on customer demand.
- Track and manage stock levels so accounts remain balanced and customers receive fresh products.
Qualifications
Applicants should have a valid full Class 5 driver’s license, dependable access to a car, and a clean driving record. The schedule is flexible and may include weekends and holidays. Prior experience in sales within consumer packaged goods or retail is preferred. Strong organization, multitasking, problem-solving, and target-driven work habits are important for success in this role.
