Job description
Position Overview
NHS Fife is inviting applications from newly qualified HCPC-registered Physiotherapists or Band 5 therapists seeking to enhance their clinical expertise within a supportive environment. This role offers six-month rotations through various specialties to foster comprehensive professional development.
Rotation Details
- Areas covered include trauma and elective orthopaedics at a dedicated orthopaedic center, acute and elderly medicine with renal and cardiology exposure, surgical and respiratory services with experiences in ICU & HDU, neurology, paediatrics, community health, and musculoskeletal outpatient care.
- Rotations are structured but allow influence through personalized learning plans.
Working Conditions and Locations
- Weekend availability is required due to extended 5 out of 7 day working; however, flexible work schedules, hybrid undergraduate placements, and selective home working for non-clinical tasks are supported.
- Rotations operate across Queen Margaret Hospital (Dunfermline), Victoria Hospital (Kirkcaldy), and community settings in Central and West Fife—all accessible via commute from nearby regions with potential for car sharing.
Organizational Commitment
- NHS Fife's Physiotherapy strategy focuses on inclusion, excellence, and sustainability.
- The employer maintains a strict no-smoking policy and equal opportunity practices.
Application Integrity
- Candidates are encouraged to authentically present their skills and experiences; AI tools may assist with ideation and grammar but should not produce application content.
- Applications heavily reliant on AI-generated content risk withdrawal.
Legal and Equality Considerations
- Applicants must confirm legal authorization to work in the UK. Visa sponsorship may be considered under specific conditions, subject to employer licensing and salary thresholds.
- Flexible working arrangements and reasonable adjustments are provided to support disabled, neurodivergent, and long-term condition candidates.
- NHS Scotland promotes diversity and equality, welcoming applications from all societal backgrounds.
