Role overview
The Room Attendant position is a full-time, on-site opportunity based in Chilliwack, British Columbia. The role focuses on keeping guest rooms and nearby areas spotless, orderly, and ready to welcome guests according to resort standards.
Core duties
- Prepare guest rooms by making beds and ensuring they look neat and inviting.
- Clean bathrooms and complete general room cleaning tasks.
- Dust surfaces, vacuum floors, and refresh rooms to maintain a high standard of presentation.
- Replace linens, toiletries, and other guest amenities as needed.
- Replenish housekeeping supplies and keep carts and work areas organized.
- Check rooms for maintenance issues, damage, or safety concerns and report them promptly.
- Follow all cleaning methods and safety practices in line with health and resort requirements.
Qualifications
Candidates should bring housekeeping knowledge and the ability to maintain excellent cleanliness and order in guest rooms and public spaces. Strong guest-service and communication abilities are important for working professionally with both visitors and coworkers. A careful eye for detail, good time management, and the discipline to follow procedures and safety rules are also essential. The job requires the physical stamina to stand, bend, lift, and move equipment or carts for long periods, and the ability to stay effective in a busy environment. Experience in hospitality or housekeeping is helpful but not mandatory, as training will be provided. Applicants should be dependable, punctual, and available for flexible scheduling, including weekends and holidays.
