About the Property

Seasons Inn Halifax is a locally owned motel in a convenient Halifax location, focused on offering clean, comfortable, and affordable accommodation. The workplace emphasizes dependable service, teamwork, and a positive atmosphere where each team member’s work is appreciated.

Role Overview

The motel is hiring room attendants for both part-time and full-time schedules. This position is suited to someone who takes pride in housekeeping standards and enjoys helping create a welcoming stay for guests.

What You’ll Do

  • Care for a 38-room property by preparing guest rooms to a high standard, including bed making, linen changes, dusting, polishing, vacuuming, and full bathroom cleaning.
  • Confirm each room is ready for check-in by ensuring windows are clean, towels are arranged neatly, amenities are replenished, and final presentation details are completed.
  • Support laundry tasks by washing, folding, and keeping linen items organized.
  • Keep housekeeping carts clean and stocked, and ensure assigned storage areas remain tidy and shift-ready.
  • Welcome guests politely and contribute to a friendly, hospitable environment across the property.
  • Use cleaning products and equipment safely, follow hotel security and safety rules, and report damage, maintenance concerns, or other issues to management without delay.

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience is required.
  • You should be able to complete at least 12 rooms during a shift.
  • The role requires sustained physical activity, including standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stretching, twisting, and reaching.
  • You need to work carefully and consistently to deliver smooth service and respond to guest needs.
  • Availability for varied shifts is important, including weekends and holidays.
  • Strong attention to detail is essential.
  • Clear written and spoken communication is needed for interacting with guests and coworkers.
  • You must be comfortable working independently in a busy setting with limited supervision.

Benefits

  • Weekly pay at $17.50 per hour.
  • Opportunities to grow your career.
  • A supportive, enjoyable, and inclusive team environment.

Eligibility

Applicants must be legally authorized to work in Canada. The employer is not able to provide or assume sponsorship for a work visa.
