Job description
About the Company
CNTXT AI builds advanced artificial intelligence products, systems, and infrastructure. Its work centers on multimodal AI, robotics, and intelligent agents, with a strong emphasis on gathering high-quality real-world data to train next-generation models such as embodied AI and Vision-Language-Action (VLA) systems.
Role Overview
The company is hiring a Robotics Data Collector to help gather reliable robotics and egocentric data for AI model training. The role is hands-on and involves working with robots, sensors, and real-world setups to capture multimodal information such as video, motion, and interaction data. This position is suited to someone who is careful, curious about technology, and comfortable in lab-based and controlled practical environments.
What You Will Do
- Carry out data collection using handheld, head-mounted, and robot-mounted cameras, along with sensors such as IMUs and depth cameras.
- Follow preset scenarios and procedures to capture accurate recordings of actions, interactions, and surroundings.
- Help run robotic systems, including humanoid and mobile robots, during data collection sessions.
- Assist with setting up and calibrating cameras, sensors, and recording equipment.
- Check collected datasets for completeness, clarity, and correctness, and report issues such as missing records, capture errors, or sensor misalignment.
- Prepare environments for experiments and execute tasks like object manipulation, navigation exercises, and human-robot interaction recordings.
- Keep detailed logs of sessions, equipment use, and any operational problems, and share suggestions to improve processes and protocols.
- Follow lab safety rules, handle equipment responsibly, and comply with privacy and security requirements.
Qualifications and Preferred Background
Applicants should have around 0 to 3+ years of experience in data collection, field operations, lab settings, or other technical and hardware-focused roles. Comfort with cameras, sensors, recording devices, and basic computer tools is important, along with a strong eye for detail and the ability to follow instructions exactly.
Prior exposure to robotics systems, egocentric or first-person data collection, computer vision or AI datasets, robotics concepts, sensors, and technical research labs is preferred.
Success Measures
Performance will be evaluated by the amount and quality of data captured, the completeness and accuracy of datasets, adherence to collection protocols, fewer data errors and rework, and efficient execution of assigned tasks.
Why This Role Stands Out
This is an opportunity to work on advanced robotics and AI technologies, contribute to intelligent agents of the future, gain practical exposure to robotics labs and real-world datasets, and join a fast-growing company focused on innovation.
