Job description
Role Overview
We are looking for experienced REXX developers who have solid knowledge of Broadcom OPMVS rules and are well-versed with z/OS, DB2, and SQL environments. The ideal candidates will bring 5 to 10 years of expertise in IBM storage technologies and be capable of managing complex storage systems effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Utilize extensive experience with IBM storage products, specifically IBM DS8000 and IBM Virtual Tape System (VTS).
- Oversee data and capacity management using DFSMS, including handling data storage and management classes.
- Implement and manage backup and disaster recovery operations involving DFDSS, FlashCopy (FDR), and replication technologies.
- Perform capacity planning by monitoring storage utilization and predicting future resource needs with tools such as Vantage FDR.
- Develop automation scripts and programs on z/OS platform, using REXX programming language.
- Respond to incidents by troubleshooting storage-related issues and conducting root cause analyses.
Additional Information
Applicants are expected to have significant hands-on experience in IBM storage technologies and strong programming skills on z/OS environment.
