Role Overview
The Project Designer will support electrical system design for new construction work, ensuring the plans align with client needs and code requirements. This position helps estimating, project management, and field teams by preparing accurate, easy-to-build layouts and documentation that improve on-site quality and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop electrical design drawings and layouts for new construction projects.
- Work from redline markups and translate them into Revit or AutoCAD files.
- Produce documentation that is clear, accurate, and practical for field execution.
- Coordinate with internal teams and outside partners to keep design work aligned with project needs.
- Apply problem-solving skills to support efficient and buildable outcomes.
Qualifications
- Strong working knowledge of Revit and AutoCAD.
- Ability to interpret redlined plans and incorporate revisions into design software.
- Preferred background in electrical installation work, especially on commercial or multifamily construction projects.
- Willingness to learn new design tools, software, and methods.
- Comfort working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
- Proactive mindset with the ability to identify issues and suggest solutions.
- Team-oriented attitude and ability to support smooth handoffs between groups.
- Interest in staying current with design standards and code requirements.
