Job description

Role Overview

Ghanda Clothing is looking for a Retail Store Manager to take charge of the Carindale, Queensland store and guide the team with energy and accountability.

What You’ll Get

  • A 38-hour working week, with pay based on the hours actually worked rather than a fixed salary. If overtime is ever required beyond ordinary hours, overtime penalties apply.
  • A strong remuneration package that includes clothing and phone allowances, along with a monthly bonus program.
  • Unlimited staff discount on clothing for you and your immediate family.
  • Team engagement activities such as training evenings, quarterly feedback surveys, modern learning resources, and awards chosen by peers.
  • Clear pathways for progression into leadership and specialist retail roles such as Store Manager, Visual Merchandiser, Stock Coordinator, Cluster Manager, Regional Manager, and State Manager.

About the Company

The business began in Torquay, Victoria in the early 2000s with a mission to create affordable, high-quality clothing that filled a gap in the market. It has since grown into one of Australia’s largest clothing brands, entirely Australian-owned and operated, with more than 100 stores nationwide.

Key Duties

In this role, you will oversee day-to-day store operations and lead the team to deliver strong results.

  • Coach, develop, and manage a team of up to 20 people.
  • Set the tone for the store by promoting the company’s values across the team.
  • Keep store presentation to a high standard in line with visual merchandising requirements and brand direction.
  • Work with the stock allocator and independently manage stock levels so the sales floor is used effectively and product availability is maintained.
  • Prepare and monitor rosters, sales reporting, and compliance across the store and team.

About You

The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who puts customers first, understands retail fundamentals, and treats the role seriously. Previous experience in retail or hospitality is helpful, but the company places a strong emphasis on attitude and leadership approach over direct background.
