Job description
Role overview
This position is accountable for steering nationwide retail performance end to end. It covers sell-in, sell-through, sell-out, market share, and profitability, while also strengthening execution in stores and across partner networks. The job combines the scope of Retail Sales Lead and Retail Account Manager into a broader country-level retail leadership role.
What you will do
- Take ownership of overall retail results across the country, including sell-in, sell-through, sell-out, market share, and profit performance.
- Maintain and grow relationships with important retail partners, including purchaser and management contacts.
- Create and implement partner growth strategies and account plans that support long-term sales expansion.
- Improve partner outcomes through promotions, premium product mix, business reviews, and disciplined execution.
- Set and manage the retail account and store coverage approach so that effort stays aligned with business priorities and execution quality.
- Work closely with marketing, category, and supply teams to improve retail readiness, promotional execution, and overall business performance.
- Review performance patterns, track KPIs, and suggest corrective actions that lift retail productivity and conversion.
- Guide, coach, and support junior retail or account team members when needed.
Background and experience
A bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or a similar field is preferred, though equivalent practical experience is also acceptable. The role typically calls for 7 to 10 years of experience in channel sales, retail sales, partner management, or other related commercial functions. Strong capability in account planning, partner business management, sales growth delivery, and cross-functional coordination is important. Experience in retail channel management, partner negotiations, and performance governance is an added advantage.
Skills and knowledge
The ideal candidate should bring a solid grasp of retail channel management, partner account planning, market share expansion, promotional execution, premium mix management, cross-functional leadership, business planning, forecasting, sales strategy, account management, and CRM discipline. Strong communication, a results-driven mindset, learning agility, and customer focus are also important.
Impact and success measures
This position is expected to influence the wider retail function and may lead or support functional project teams. It requires sound judgment, strong analytical thinking, and the ability to handle complex situations involving several stakeholders and priorities. Success will be measured through retail revenue growth, sell-out achievement, market share improvement, better premium mix, promotion effectiveness, store execution compliance, and the quality and closure of partner business review actions.
