Retail Sales Consultant

About the role

Join Travelex in a full-time retail sales position in Palmerston North. As the customer-facing representative in store, you will help travellers choose the right foreign exchange products, deliver a high standard of service, and contribute to overall store performance. Travelex operates as the world’s largest foreign exchange company, with a global network of more than 1,100 stores.

What you will do

• Provide outstanding service to customers and work toward personal sales goals and performance targets.
• Promote Travelex’s travel money offering and actively support sales growth across the product range.
• Use a digital-first approach by encouraging engagement through social channels such as Google reviews, Facebook, and Instagram.
• Keep track of stock movement, identify and investigate cash differences, and report any overs or shorts.
• Follow company rules, site procedures, and all relevant legal obligations.

What we are looking for

• A self-driven retailer or customer service professional with a friendly manner and a strong interest in travel.
• Clear verbal communication and strong written understanding.
• Someone who can work on their own as well as cooperate effectively within a team.
• Comfort working with figures, accuracy, and detail in a structured environment.
• Retail, cash handling, or banking experience is helpful, though not mandatory.
• Careful and reliable handling of routine work with a high level of precision.
• Evidence of strong delivery against sales or KPI goals.
• Good relationship-building skills across internal teams and external customers.
