Job description

Role Overview

ActionLink is hiring a full-time retail electronics merchandiser to support store locations in Thousand Oaks, California, and nearby areas. The role is focused on improving how products are presented in-store so displays are attractive, functional, and effective at driving sales.

Core Duties

  • Visit assigned retail stores, including major chains such as Best Buy, Walmart, Target, and similar outlets within your territory.
  • Set up, maintain, assemble, and troubleshoot promotional product displays to help improve sales performance.
  • Represent well-known global brands, including Microsoft, Samsung, T-Mobile, Dyson, Bose, Intel, and others.
  • Complete same-day digital surveys after each store visit, including written updates and photos.

Schedule and Travel

This position typically involves 40+ hours per week and requires open availability. Workdays are usually Monday through Friday between 8:00 AM and 9:00 PM, and weekend work is not required. You may need to travel outside your district when necessary, and candidates who can cover larger regions may have access to additional hours. Store-to-store travel support is provided for drive time and mileage.

Compensation and Benefits

The pay rate is $25.00 per hour, based on experience. Additional technical project work may be available at higher rates depending on demand. The role includes W2 employment with bi-weekly pay and direct deposit. Benefits offered include medical, dental, vision, prescription, and life insurance coverage, an optional 401(k) plan with company match, paid training, paid time off, and paid holidays.

Qualifications

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED. Prior merchandising experience, 3PL experience, or related retail experience is preferred. The job requires the ability to handle merchandising tasks across the assigned territory, follow detailed written instructions and display diagrams, and work independently most of the time while still collaborating with a small team when needed. Candidates must have internet access, basic hand tools, and a smart device with Wi‑Fi/GPS capability; having a laptop or desktop computer is a plus. A valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle are required. The work also involves standing, bending, stooping, climbing ladders, and lifting products weighing 50 to 100 lbs. without assistance.
